Cannot update the Sintel BI app ​

Symptom ​

You try to update the Sintel BI app in the tenant app catalog, but nothing seems to happen. The page stays on a message like:

Cause ​

To update apps from Microsoft Marketplace (previously AppSource), the tenant administrator must have access to the tenant's root site collection. If they don't, SharePoint silently fails the update instead of showing an error.

Fix ​

Who can fix this

A Microsoft 365 or SharePoint administrator. If that isn't you, send this page to your IT department.

  1. Grant the tenant administrator access to the root site collection of the tenant (for example https://<YourTenantName>.sharepoint.com).
  2. Retry the update. See How to update.
